I have been a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania since 1991 and, through PSYPACT, have been licensed to provide telepsychology in the District of Columbia and forty U.S. states since 2020.
My professional journey began with a combination of clinical practice and teaching, eventually leading to an 18-year career as a tenured professor. Teaching was a joy and passion, and I never imagined I would one day return to clinical work. But after many profound life changes — including the unexpected death of my mother — my path led me back to clinical practice, with a renewed purpose: to help individuals navigate and transform their experience of death-related grief.
In addition to my private practice, I am an affiliate of the Center for Prolonged Grief at Columbia University, where I co-facilitate continuing education workshops for mental health professionals on the diagnosis and treatment of Prolonged Grief Disorder (PGD). I also serve as an adjunct lecturer in Columbia University’s Master of Social Work (MSW) program.
